Twin flat monitors allow the editing environment to be spread out across them for ease of access to all the on-screen tools. An A3 Wacom graphics tablet makes movement around the screen faster and more intuitive. Versatility and flexibility are digital editing's greatest virtues. It is time consuming at the outset, as all shots are logged and digitised. Once on the hard drive, the fun begins. Here we can work in a way similar to desktop publishing but with full screen video and stereo audio. Both audio and video can be layered, faded, wiped and a wealth of effects, too numerous to detail here, added as required.
