CGI

Computer generated imagery is an area that has developed rapidly in the last few years. Software is now available that can achieve special effects just like those that continue to wow audiences in major feature films such as Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, The Matrix etc.

ActionVideo has served a long apprenticeship, initially using very capable rendering programs on the Amiga. Moving across to the PC has allowed us to utilise the multitude of cost effective peripherals such as scanners, digitising tablets, massive storage devices etc. An ever expanding range of software is employed in this area of our production work. We're constantly trying out new and improved programs and adopting the best.

A brief example; we can scan in a logo, extrude it as a 3 dimensional object, add bevels, change the material it is made from (glass, plastic metal etc) and then apply distortion and motion to it.

Animations can be overlayed on video. Your actors can be made to interact with computer generated objects such as planned products, robots, etc.
